Fantastic and easy hike that will take us to discover, walking on paths and ancient communication routes, the hills around the center of Verona. A circular route among nature, history, and unique views offered by the hills. We will visit very evocative places that are just outside the city center.
Our hike will start from the hill of Castel San Pietro, not far from the ancient Ponte Pietra. We will explore the ancient walls that have surrounded the city for centuries, forming ideal ecosystems for plants and animals. We will walk along paths adjacent to the city center until we reach the Sanctuary of Maria di Lourdes, an elevated viewpoint that offers another spectacular view of the rooftops of Verona. On the return, we will follow the "lasagna," a type of path used since ancient times on the hills, before concluding our hike at Ponte Pietra.
