100 meters from the Town Hall, nestled in a centuries-old park, stands Villa Trevisani-Calderara, from the 19th century, now home to the kindergarten called Cavalier Romani. This large and noble residence is listed in the regional register of Venetian villas.
On a hill, located near the villa, at the top of a staircase, one there is the Guglia, a circular tower that was built simultaneously with the villa and allowed the owners to enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding territory. The original name was “Torre Gabriella,” in memory of the daughter who died prematurely. It was also used as a military lookout tower during the tumultuous days of the Risorgimento in 1848, while the villa itself was contested between the Piedmontese and Austrians.
Today, the villa houses a kindergarten and in summer, it is a venue for outdoor weddings, musical events, and theatrical performances.
