The church began being constructed in 1948 and the works continued for 7 years, but it was opened to the public on May 1, 1955. Thanks to various donations from families, completion worke were carried out: the red marble floor from Verona, plastering, electrical systems, heating systems, the construction of the sacristy, external plastering, and the façade.
To decorate the two large side walls of the transept, the Cignaroli Academy of Verona was involved, which appointed one of its professors, Federico Bellomi. For 15 years, he worked on the creation of "Arbor Redemptions," an impressive fresco that represents the story of salvation, realized according to a scheme reminiscent of Michelangelo's Last Judgment.
At the center of the fresco there is the Christ Redeemer, who encompasses in himself the three moments of his life: the Incarnation, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection. It is a colossal work with a surface area of 240 square meters.
