An intimate and hands-on experience in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, designed to rediscover an ancient rural art craft: the weaving of cane and the art of basket makers (i cestarotti).
In the picturesque setting of the La Marega winery, housed in a historic 16th-century building, participants, guided by an expert artisan, will learn to work with cane and will create with their own hands an elegant wicker wine holder, starting from a wooden base and experimenting with traditional weaving techniques.
The workshop is an invitation to reclaim the gestural memory of the past when the processing of wicker was essential knowledge for farming life, grape harvesting, and the transport of bottles and products from the land.
The experience concludes with a tasting of two wines from the winery, to immerse oneself in the flavors and winemaking traditions of Valpolicella Classica and complete a journey that combines craftsmanship, culture, and territory.
