The B&B Contrade Alte is a delightful corner of paradise in Lessinia, a structure derived from the renovation of an old stone house situated in an ancient Contrada, at the foot of the Corno d'Aquilio.
Just below it, there are some old contrade, higher than the municipality of Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo (hence the name of the B&B “Contrade Alte”), which represented the residential fabric for agricultural, economic, and social use of the territory, with its typical buildings made of local stone. From the old home of Antonietta's grandmother, the current owner who manages it with great passion, a small, comfortable, and welcoming B&B has been created, recovering some typical elements from the past, such as the stone washbasin, part of the fireplace, and the larch ceiling, as well as the roof made of stone slabs.
In front of the main entrance, there is a paved area of Lessinia stone where guests can relax after a nice walk on one of the many trails in the area. From here, access is granted to the breakfast room, from which one can head up to the rooms on the upper floors.
Surrounded by the greenery and peace of the Veronese mountains, it is also close to all the amenities and services of the town.
The B&B Contrade Alte is located in Lessinia, precisely in the westernmost part, which overlooks the Corno d’Aquilio and the Adige valley along with the vast areas of the Po Valley.
You can see the Monte Baldo mountain range with, prominently on a rocky wall, the Santuario di Madonna della Corona and further in the distance, the Lake Garda with the characteristic peninsula of Sirmione.
In the southern part, there is the renowned Valpolicella, of which Lessinia is considered the upper part (Alta Valpolicella), while in the eastern part, the Carega group marks the end of Lessinia.
To reach the structure from via Aliana, the main road to the Corno d'Aquilio, turn right near the Saloon tavern, and enter Contrada Adamoli from where you access the courtyard and the b&b located on the left.
