In 1981 Oreste and Rosanna De Martin established the first ice cream parlour in the beautiful Comelico valley. Several years experience in Germany gave Oreste and Rosanna the skills to bring this welcome culinary innovation to the valley. The ice cream sundaes they created were extraordinary and delicious, from simple flavors to more elaborate combinations such as wild fruits, liqueurs etc. This new business was such a success that long queues formed as everyone wanted to try their fantastic ice creams. After some years the De Martins decided to expand, by adding three apartments that they rent to tourists. In 1991 the pizzeria was opened which was also an instant success and received much acclaim from both the locals and their regular tourist visitors .In 2003 the De Martins opened a bed and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed with great attention to detail and guests can also look forward to delicious breakfasts and the hospitality of the DE MARTIN ORESTE family. Many sacrifices have been made to get to where they are but Oreste and Rosanna still have many plans and dreams to expand their business further in the future.
