Located in the lower foothills of Monte Fane, in the upper part of the Negrar valley, the village of Prun is weel-known for its caves of pink limestone, a soft stone that is easy to extract, and which takes its name from the name of the village, namely, Purn Stone.
There are caves that are open to the sky and with carved out tunnels, passageways and grottoes which can be easily seen along the slopes of the mountain. It is an area that is very evocative due to its resemblance to primitive stone architecture.
