Chiesa della Santissima Trinità ''La Mattarella''
Via Mattarella , Cappella Maggiore - 31012
A 500 meters from the center of Cappella Maggiore stands the church of the Holy Trinity, also known as "La Mattarella." Dating back to the 13th century, the church is distinguished by its splendid frescoes, the oldest being "The Last Supper," considered one of the oldest mural paintings in the Treviso area. The author remains unknown, but recent studies have attributed it to Vitulino Da Serravalle or his son Bernardino. The other frescoes depicting scenes related to the Crucifixion, the Holy Trinity, and the Madonna del Melograno are definitively attributed to Antonio Zago.
