Chiesa Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Maddalena - Rocca Pietore

The parish church of Rocca Pietore, dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene, was built in 1442 and today is a national monument. This gothic church has a caracteristic bell tower with a Ghibelline pinnacle which is easy to recognize in the surrounding landscape. Inside the church are hosted lots of masterpieces, from whom it is important to underline the presence of the tirolean altarpiece made by Ruprecht Potsch in 1517. This kind of altar is so famous and also known as "flügelaltar", so that every year lots of pilgrims and art lovers came to visit the church and to see it.
