Rifugio Berti

It is located on the south-eastern edge of Vallon Popèra, surrounded by the imposing walls of Croda Rossa, Cima Undici, Cima Bagni, Campanili, Fulmini and Monte Popèra, mountains of extraordinary rugged beauty, a UNESCO heritage site. It is a foothold along the Alta via delle Dolomiti n. 5, variant II and no. 9; starting point of the splendid Róghel and Cengia Gabriella equipped routes, Strada degli Alpini, Zandonella alla Croda Rossa, countless classic-style climbs and excursions on historical/naturalistic routes from the First World War. The cooking is home-made, also with typical mountain and traditional Comelico dishes. Inside the refuge there is a small exhibition of finds from the Great War.
