After a life spent in Milan, I decided to move to the house that I have always dreamed of living in since I was a child. Located in a small and extraordinary village in the countryside, an hour away from Venice, Cortina, and the Dolomites, it was once a school, then a storage place for farming tools and salami. On the architrave of a door is inscribed "August 1857." The two guest rooms, with private bathrooms, face south and overlook the garden; upon request, the double beds can be converted into singles. The furnishings are family heirlooms, mixed with items and books that come from my Milanese home (and life). Covering over 300 sqm, the restoration has preserved the original spacious and bright areas of the house, with exposed beams on the ceiling, local Dolomite stone, and larch flooring in the sleeping area. While the first floor is entirely dedicated to guests, the ground floor features three large common areas, with a stube and fireplaces for winter.
To book or simply inquire, you can send an email or start a chat, including video, on Skype: I will be happy to respond to you. Having a cat, I cannot accept other pets. Unfortunately, the house is not accessible to disabled persons due to its numerous stairs, and it is also not recommended for children. Smoking is not allowed in the house.
