Among streets and squares: Prato della Valle yesterday and today

We will retrace the history of Prato della Valle from Roman to contemporary times, using historical, literary and artistic sources that have left evocative descriptions and anecdotes about this extraordinary place, a symbol of the city.
It will not fail to mention the Zairo, the jousts, fairs and medieval games (such as the "chair" races or the "castle of love"), Andrea Memmo's arrangement and redevelopment project as well as more recent interventions. We will look up to observe the splendid palaces and monuments overlooking the large square and finally we will also dwell on the statues, discovering together who are the main characters to whom they are dedicated by evoking the most curious and amusing facts of their biographies.
