The delightful village, located at 420 meters above sea level, which was once completely abandoned, has undergone a slow but steady revitalization, transforming it into a sought-after holiday destination, both for its ventilated and cool position in summer and for the peace it emanates. Its centuries-old history is linked to charcoal burners, possibly from Istria, at the beginning of the seventeenth century. The sound of water fills the air, the stone houses, perched one on top of the other, outline the perimeter of the settlement, while the small church of San Valentino, accompanied by a fountain carved from a single piece of stone from Val di Non, continues to be a destination for popular devotion directed to the Saint for relief from epilepsy.
