AMONG ALPINE PASTURES ON A MIDSUMMER EVENING
From Malga S. Giorgio, a stretch of white road climbs up and then to Malga Malera, continuing through pastures and mountain huts towards Passo Malera (1712 m). In ancient times, mountain communities, tied to the phases of the stars, celebrated this time of year by creating dances and festivals dedicated to the harvest. The return follows trail CAI 287, which circles around Mount Malera and descends into the "Valon" through a narrow but easy-to-navigate path. Surrounded by willows and dwarf pines, we return to the parking lot.
