It was built at the end of the 15th century and enlarged in the first half of the 16th century, after the Venetians' war against Maximilian of Austria, and later in the 17th century.
The interior of the late-Gothic style contains some valuable works of art.
On the high altar there is a triptych attributed to Francesco Vecellio, brother of Titian.
