Museo Latteria di Feder

The idea of recovering and renovating the old dairy of Feder was born in the late 1990s, but it only materialized in 2009. The municipal ownership of the building, the presence of almost all the equipment, preserved in good condition and saved from the dispersion that instead characterized other historical dairies, has allowed for the preservation of a small testimony of the history of the Valle del Biois. Since 1888, the year the "Latteria di Feder di Forno Canale - Cooperative Limited Company" was established, until 1973, the dairy was an important resource for the local people, a point of reference, and also a gathering center, a meeting place. The Museo Latteria di Feder has significant historical and cultural value for the Valle del Biois; the objects, the equipment, and the building itself tell a past that should not be forgotten but remembered and taught, and with this spirit, the volunteers guide visitors on an interesting journey into the dairy past of the Agordino.
