Franzei

At the feet of the Auta Mountain group, not far from the village of Sottoguda there is a marvellous clearing called Franzei. It is full of small wooden mountain huts made by the locals to store hay and agricultural tools. In summertime it's not difficult to see some animals such as horses and cows. It is possible to reach the Franzei area by a new forestry road and starting from this point there are some paths such as the one to Lech dei Giai, a wonderful natural lake.
