Villa Erizzo
via Ca' Erizzo , Due Carrare
Located in the countryside between the Biancolino and Vigenzone canals, the villa from the 1500s was the residence of the noble families Da Carrara and Erizzo. In the 18th century, the Serenissima sold all the goods of the monks who were removed from the monastery to allow for greater exploitation of the surrounding countryside to the Erizzo family. It was from them that Abbot Ceoldo bought the church, bell tower, and cemetery of the abbey complex of Santo Stefano on April 10, 1794, saving them from destruction. It has been perfectly and meticulously restored in accordance with the architectural standards of the time. In this villa, one can feel the vivid presence of the history that has crossed it over the last five centuries. The Italian garden covers 5,000 square meters with fruit trees, flowers, and fragrant herbs. Everything is perfectly maintained and intensely lived in on a daily basis. The estate also includes 2 sheds for agricultural tools, totaling 4,000 square meters.
