Villa Lovato Sperandio
Via Ponte di Riva , Due Carrare (PD) - 35020
The villa presents itself in its discreet forms, in a secluded corner of the village of Pontemanco. The original structure dates back to the 1600s, developed over two floors and attics, and once stood isolated, while now it has adjoining buildings, with one part resting on the front corner, thus defining a courtyard in front of the villa, and the other building abutting its side. The villa was purchased in 1902 by Giovanni Battista Lovato, a local doctor who would practice in the villa. His nephew, Gianpaolo Sperandio, would also become a local doctor right in Due Carrare, still in the family villa. Today, the villa is still owned by the Sperandio family, though they do not reside there permanently.
