The villa was built by Marchesi Fumanelli. In 1880 the villa was bought by the Lebrechts, an important Israelite family located in Verona.
Since 1947 the villa belongs to the Verona Province and, thanks to many financial contributions, it has become the Departement of Oenology of the University of Verona.
The close Centro Sperimentale per la Viticoltura e l'Istituto Sperimentale di Frutticoltura are hosted and belong to the Provincial Administration of Verona.
Today the palace is structured on the three floors. From the ground floor, which is made in smooth shlar, we can arrive at the first floor's entrance hall.
On a ground floor room's ceiling there's a masterpiece of Giovanni Caliari "Bacco che incorona Arianna".
