Rifugio G. Volpi al Mulaz is a CAI rifugio situated at the top end of the Focobon Valley, in the mountain group of Pale di San Martino, at 2571 m asl.
It's part of the Alta Via n. 2. It can be reached from Falcade, Val Gares, Valles Pass and Rolle Pass. It's an alpine rifugio with ca 39 beds inside and a rescue building outside for emergency.
The escursion to Rifugio Mulaz is not a easy one and not for everybody. But when you're there the panorama will pay you back for the effort made to reach the top. We suggest not to stop at the rifugio but go on to the top where you can ring the bell.
