Many of us associate the coast with pine forests, which we see accompanying every access to the beach. But few know that most of these formations are not natural: they have been planted by humans over time to protect the coast from erosion and reclaim the land.
The Ca' Savio natural area tells a different story: that of the renaturalization of the coastal habitat. Here, the aim is to restore the original vegetation through targeted interventions and the planting of native shrubs and trees typical of the backdune environment.
