The Teatro Mario del Monaco is restarting with the new Theater Season. Every story has its beginning is the title of this edition that promises emotions, quality performances, and great interpreters of the Italian scene.
The lineup opens with Perfect Strangers (23-26 Oct 2025), a revisited comedy by Paolo Genovese. Following are The Seagull by Anton Chekhov (13-16 Nov 2025), with Giuliana De Sio and Filippo Dini, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (11-14 Dec 2025), by Tennessee Williams.
In January, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (8-11 Jan 2026) a comedy by Eduardo De Filippo will be staged, while Mirandolina (5-8 Feb 2026) pays homage to the iconic character of La Locandiera by Carlo Goldoni in a contemporary interpretation. Between February and March, Grief is Suitable for Electra by Eugene O'Neill (12-15 Feb 2026) and Water Bestiary by Marco Paolini (12-15 Mar 2026) bring intensity and reflection.
In spring, Elizabeth's Bodies (19-22 Mar 2026) by Ella Hickson, The Cosmicomic Life of Q (25-29 Mar 2026) with Luca Marinelli, and the comedy Dead Souls (9-12 Apr 2026) by Peppino Mazzotta enrich the program. The season concludes with The Outrageous Misadventures of Kim Sparrow (16-19 Apr 2026) starring Paola Minaccioni and Celebrations (7-10 May 2026), a work by Familie Flöz.
