The Arena is the main attraction in Verona along with Juliet's balcony. It is one of the oldest Roman-era monuments and is perfectly preserved. Still in use today, it hosts concerts, open-air performances, and, above all, the lyric festival that features singers performing the most beautiful operas of all time.
You will meet the local guide and the rest of the group outside the amphitheater, where the guide will give a brief introduction to the Arena, providing you with an overview of its architecture, its millennia-old history, and the role it has played over the centuries.
Afterward, you will enter inside, where the explanation will continue and you will be able to see up close the stone structure, the terraces, and the stage, discovering how the Arena has been a place of entertainment and spectacle, with representations of gladiators, battles, and theatrical performances, and you will feel the atmosphere of the past come to life. You will also have some time for photos inside and to observe Piazza Brà from above.
