The Canoso family has always believed in the quality of the wine produced on the hills of Monteforte d'Alpone.
In fact, since 1876 they have cultivated gardens and vineyards here, selling bulk wine in the markets of northern Italy. Giuseppe Meneghello Canoso started working as a cellar worker and wine merchant at a very young age.
In the early 1970s, he purchased the Tenuta Cà del Vento where he built the new winery. Why there? Because it is the first hillside outpost in the center of the town, and there the wind blows all year round, benefiting the vine.
With the involvement of his sons Primo and Massimo, an agronomist and a winemaker, a sustainable approach is established, reducing production while increasing quality.
In 2016, Canoso meets Giovanni and Francesco, two entrepreneurs with wine in their DNA. Together, they decide to revive the Canoso brand, now recognized in the Italian and foreign markets as a synonym for high-quality wines representative of the volcanic territory of Soave.
