Bivacco Bontadini

With a short walk up to Padon Pass, at the feet of Mesolina you can reach the Bontadini bivouac. The beathtaking view from this natural terrace will leave you astonished: Marmolada, Civetta and Pelmo are only a small part of the amazing peaks that you can see all around. From Refugio Padon, the Bontadini bivouac is reacheable in about 30 minutes by feet to the start of the Via Ferrata delle Trincee. The bivouac could host about 9 people and is a good starting point to reach the top of Mount Mesolina, at about 20 minutes walking. On the other hand, it is possible to visit the great war trenches and tunnels (one of the longest in Dolomites). For this visit headtorch and helmet are highly recommended.
