The church of S. Paolo al Monte stands, along with that of S. Rocco, in a panoramic position: it was formerly a lookout point connected to the castle of S. Martino. Dating back to 1517, the building dedicated to the patron saint against earthquakes, is accessible either by ascending the road that starts from the hill of San Rocco or through the path of the Via Crucis (1735) that branches off from via Brevia before the arch, built by Bishop Della Torre.
