Purga Mountain Loop - Blue Trail
Starting from the Fossil Museum, you reach the Church of Bolca, enjoying a beautiful panorama of the Alpone and Chiampo valleys and the Veneto plain; you descend towards the Retirement Home, near Monte Spilecco, and circle around Purga at an altitude of about 800 meters. Throughout the forest, you can admire "the city of stones," a large outpouring of lava rocks that the vegetation has never managed to cover. Along the route, interesting lignite outcrops can be found. You return to the Museum.
