Before entering Mezzane, on the left stands Villa Roja Schiavoni with a central body from the 18th century.
It was built by Cesare Roja and passed into the ownership of the Bagolini, Trezza, Zamboni, Goldschmiedt families until Felice Schiavoni, who donated it to the Sisters of Mercy to turn it into a hospice.
Beyond the long entrance avenue, the park of oaks and evergreens, established in the 18th century, draws attention towards the belvedere of the hill above. The environment is completed by staircases and allegorical statues, caves, and artificial caverns.
