Founded in the mid-1990s thanks to the passion of agronomist and herbalist Gianfranco Marchetti, it represents an environmental design model in the field of forestry that is cited in educational texts and serves as inspiration for various forests in Veneto. A destination for groups of enthusiasts, professionals in the sector, and agricultural entrepreneurs, it covers an area of about 30,000 square meters and features practical paths that allow visitors to appreciate its richness in species and beauty.
There are two reasons that suggested this name to us. The first is that at the beginning of spring, there is an authentic explosion of violet blossoms. The undergrowth and paths are filled with these flowers and their color, painting an enchanting natural picture that joyfully announces the arrival of the beautiful season. The second reason is related to tradition: the forest embraces a rural house, developed from an 1800s “cason” from Treviso, where part of the Marchetti family lived, whose members were known in the village as the “Viola.”
The Forest is a magical place that promotes well-being and stimulates the imagination. For years, Alessandro has dedicated himself to writing books for children and teenagers, holding meetings and workshops at Schools and Libraries. The stories and characters in his books arise from the countless experiences lived in contact with the nature of the Forest and the traditions of our land.
