Villa Morosini, Monico known as "XXV Aprile" is a Venetian villa in Mirano, in the province of Venice. Owned by the municipality, its buildings are now used as spaces for cultural activities. The park constitutes the public garden "XXV Aprile" and is in continuity with that of the neighboring Villa Belvedere. The park constitutes the public garden "XXV Aprile" and is in continuity with that of the neighboring Villa Belvedere. The complex was built around the middle of the seventeenth century (it is finished in 1661) by the Giustinian family. The Villa consists of the main house and, a little further north-west, of a barn. As shown by the Napoleonic and Austrian land registry papers, in the past there was also a second identical barchessa, which stood symmetrically to the southwest with respect to the villa. The manor house has neo-Palladian lines, and the interiors are organized according to the usual Venetian scheme, with the central hall flanked by four smaller rooms arranged symmetrically. The ceilings were once decorated with frescoes. The architectural style of the barchessa differs from that of the main house, however it is in harmony with the context. The park extends over three hectares in which there are numerous stately themed statues dating back to the nineteenth century. In the same there is a wellhead bearing the initials of the ancient owner Francesco Morosini.
