The guided tour starts with a walk through the park of Villa Belvedere (of which it will be possible to visit the frescoed inner hall on the first floor). The nineteenth-century design of the park was inspired by the model of the romantic English garden with a small lake, small bridges, picturesque views and the striking Castelletto del Belvedere.
The Castelletto, more than just a tower, is a vast complex in the shape of a small castle, equipped, in plan, with four rooms (two purposely left open from the beginning) next to which rises the five-story octagonal tower, on the remains of a mock ruin. Inside the Castelletto, built between 1840 and 1850, there are still remnants of a fresco by 19th-century artist Giovanni de Min depicting "Venice in History and the Arts."
But there is more! The Torretta hides underneath it a mysterious cave, richly articulated in several compartments, communicating with the Villa through a tunnel that was later walled up. The underground route measures about 250 meters and is well articulated in alternating caverns, tunnels, tunnels with a small underground lake that flows into the open air, where it winds in a continuous evocative up and down.
The visit will continue in the adjacent park of Villa Morosini-Monico known as "XXV Aprile," an 18th-century neoclassical complex with a loggia of ionic columns, crowned by the triangular tympanum and statues. Currently, the barchessa of the villa, off-center from the main body, is home to the "Giandomenico Tiepolo" Study Center.
Afterwards, we will visit the courtyard of Villa Errera and the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel on whose ceiling stands out the Last Judgment by Giovanni De Min, while among the canvases that adorn the walls stands out the painting "St. Anthony reattaches the foot to a young man" by the rococò master Giambattista Tiepolo.
The tour ends with a visit to the watermills "Mulini di Sotto", where the Old Muson River makes its last leap before the long "Cut" that takes it into the Brenta.
