This is the house that my father built for me, the youngest of four children, pouring all his love and carpentry skills into it, to pamper me and let me enjoy the surrounding environment. A typical mountain home where wood is applied in all its variations, centrally located just a few hundred meters from the main square of Auronzo di Cadore, the house is close to all services (shops, church, museum, public transport). Erected on a raised hill, it overlooks the entire village and enjoys a great view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the better-known peaks of the Sesto Dolomites that surround the area. The accommodation, distributed on a single level, is located on the attic floor of a building with only two residential units; the entrance is independent and private with an external staircase. The apartment offers you a spacious room to cook your favorite dishes, spend evenings with friends, and dine in the very characteristic Erker (a bow window consisting of a windowed space extending outside the building) from which you can glimpse the sun igniting the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the morning or enjoy the magnificent colors of the Enrosadira (a phenomenon that colors the Dolomites pink) in the evening on Croda dei Tòni. Three bedrooms, one of which I had my father insert a four-poster bed, a dream from when I was a girl wanting to live in a fairy tale, accommodating a total of 7 beds, two bathrooms with a shower and a large tub for a rejuvenating soak with scented salts and candles. If you love being outdoors, you can do so on the spacious external terrace surrounded by the meadows that my brothers mow in the summer, flooding the house with the scent of freshly cut grass or enjoy the first rays of spring sunshine on the perfectly south-facing balcony with table and chairs. If you are our guests, you can leave your car in the private parking and also have a garage for storing bicycles, skis, canoes, or paragliding equipment. You won't have to worry about towels, blankets, and bed linen or anything else you might need for cooking, washing, or drying clothes, as these are part of the accommodation's provisions. Although I would advise against it, if you are keen on working on your computer or want to share your experience on social media, you can utilize the WiFi connection. For your little ones, a crib and a high chair are available. See you soon, I can't wait to meet you :))

How to get to Auronzo di Cadore

By plane The nearest airports are: Treviso (126km), Venice (137km), Verona (254km), Innsbruck, Austria (180km)

By car 1) From the A27 motorway take the Pian di Vedoia exit and follow the SS 51 road. In the locality of Tai di Cadore, follow the signs for Auronzo. 2) From the A22 motorway take the Bressanone-Brixen exit towards Dobbiaco-Toblach then turn right onto the SS 51 di Alemagna and continue towards Auronzo. 3) From the A23 motorway take the Tolmezzo exit and follow the SS 52 Carnica. When you reach Villa Santina, continue towards Sappada and then towards Santo Stefano-Auronzo.

By train The nearest train station is Calalzo-Pieve di Cadore-Cortina, 15 km from Auronzo di Cadore. Trains mainly arrive from: • Venice • Padua • Udine From the Brenner - S. Candido line, get off at the Dobbiaco station, then take the bus to Misurina/Auronzo.
