Palazzo Scaligero was built in the 14th century by order of Cansignorio della Scala and was the ancient residence of the Magistrates and Governors of Soave.
During Venetian domination it became the residence of the Captains who represented the highest authorities in the zone.
For this reason the Palace is also called the Captain’s Palace.
