An enchanting building from the 1500s, a magical Venetian Villa located in Mira, along the Riviera del Brenta, between Venice and Padua, welcomes its guests in a magical atmosphere.
Next to it stands an imposing barchessa and a beautiful church from the 1700s. The villa was very rich in frescoes which were removed and are now displayed in important museums around the world: from the Metropolitan Museum in New York to the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice. Here, a beautiful fresco representing a woman playing the lute is still on display, and it is this painting that gives the name to the location where Villa Valier stands, called "La Chitarra." It seems that frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo were also removed from the chapel. Inside the building, some pleasant decorations are preserved, attributed to Maganza due to their notable similarity with his fresco in the Rotonda del Palladio.
Currently, the villa is owned by the Corò family, who makes this historic residence available for visits and events, nestled within the lush garden among the ancient trees.
