Caffè Pedrocchi

Caffè Pedrocchi is one of the symbols of Padua, a chosen place for coffee tasting and cuisine. The presence of an international Grand Café in Padua is due to Antonio Pedrocchi, a famous coffee maker, who called Giuseppe Jappelli, an important architect and engineer of Enlightenment ideas and a profound connoisseur of Habsburg taste, who inaugurated it in 1831.

Caffè Pedrocchi, called Caffè 'without doors' because it remained open day and night from its inauguration in 1831 until 1916. It soon became a crossroads of intellectuals and men of letters "the place where ideas were born". It still retains its beauty and fame today.
