Villa Saraceno-Bettanin (Palazzo delle Trombe)
Via Finale 10 , Agugliaro - 36020
The sixteenth-century villa, attributed to Sanmicheli, derives its name from a tall chimney in the shape of a trumpet, destroyed by lightning and not rebuilt. Also original is the trumpet-shaped configuration of the 34 dripstones distributed across the eaves. The building, with a square plan, is characterized by a torus about a meter above the ground, beneath which the wall slopes towards the ground. Nearby stands a solitary dovecote with two pointed arches that suggests a previous Gothic complex that was later transformed.
