The parish church of Santa Lucia vergine e martire is located in Campigo, a small village in the green Veneto countryside, near the town of Castelfranco Veneto. This sacred place is located in the centre of the village.
The first religious building dates back to the sixteenth century, but the present church dates back to the eighteenth century.
It has a central structure, a large bell tower at its side and a square.
Inside, there is a precious triptych by Pietro Damini. The seventeenth-century work is entitled "La Pieta'-Deposition of Christ". It was commissioned by the pastoral of Treviso to recall the link between the cross and Christ. Painted by a painter of Castallana origin: Pietro Damini.
The triptych is divided into three parts and decorates the altar, the central scene sees Mary holding the body of Christ dead on the cross, with angels and the patron. On the sides are various saints: St Barbara, St Agatha, St Catherine, St Lucy the Virgin.
There are also other paintings and sculptures of great artistic beauty.
