When evening falls, the candlelight changes the way of observing the rooms of Villa Correr Pisani.
The guide accompanies the group through the frescoed environments of the residence, narrating the people who inhabited them, the transformations of the villa, and the stories preserved in the decorations. The low light invites one to slow down and to linger on figures, colors, and details that might go unnoticed during a daytime visit.
Constructed starting from the mid-seventeenth century, the villa retains in the noble hall the frescoes created by Faustino Moretti in 1666. The most recent restorations have also uncovered decorations that remained hidden beneath various layers of plaster, raising new questions about the history of the environments and their authors.
The experience also includes entry to the MeVe – Veneto Memorial of the Great War and the possibility to visit any ongoing temporary exhibits. The visit is available by reservation for individual participants and groups.
