This is a short walk, very easy and also suitable for children, among art installations, historical architecture, panoramic balconies over the Centro Cadore lake and a children's playground, including Santa Claus's house.
From the central Piazza Tiziano in Pieve di Cadore, go towards Via XX Settembre. From the car park, take a small road that will take you to the beautiful Roccolo Park. The park is beautiful, fascinating in the autumn season for all the shades of red and the explosion of colours. On the promontory, a spectacular platform, recently reconstructed, allows you to look out over the Centro Cadore lake, for an extraordinary panoramic view. In particular, one can observe the promontory of Lagole di Calalzo below, a well-known archaeological-naturalistic area.
Also nearby is Father Santa's little house, a much sought-after destination for children who can post the classic letter to Father Christmas and, at Christmas, find the Santa Claus himself.
