Situated in a wide valley oriented towards the Antelao group (3263 meters above sea level), the refuge is the starting point for numerous ascents and excursions with approach to the glacier.
The refuge, with its receptivity, is a destination and base for excursionists and mountaineer in search of peace and emotions that few places can offer.
Built on the initiative of Giovanni Vascellari in 1957/58 in the place where once stood the Casera Val d'Oten and expanded in 1970. It offers the possibility of accommodation.
How to get there:
In summer from Calalzo di Cadore, 806 m, along the Val d'Óten carriage road to Praciadelàn, 1044 m, then along the carriage road with suitable means (km. 4.5 - 20 min) or on foot one hour.
In winter, snow and ice permitting, you can reach Praciadelan by car and from here you can continue on foot, with ski mountaineering skis or snowshoes.
