The first Stone - Monument for the Centenary of the Great War is located in Piazza Pecori Giraldi, at the foot of the Archpriest Church, and is one of the 12 large stones with sculpted poetic verses placed among various municipalities, including Genoa and Forte dei Marmi.
These sculptures were installed in 2010 in Piazza Duomo in Milan on the occasion of the Rotelli exhibition. The work aims to convey the idea of the living stone, as a milestone that marks our existence with the verses of great poets dedicated to identity and peace among peoples.
