The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1695 as a chapel with a thatched roof and became a parish church in 1924.
In 1797, the altar of St. Michael from Vicenza was purchased, which is the current Main Altar. In 1798, it arrived in Valli on horse-drawn carts and was then carried by the women of the Riva di Staro spinning mill to Staro.
The church, in Baroque style, houses works by Orazio Marinali and consists of a nave, two small side chapels, and three altars.
The bell tower, attached to the church, features a dome that is different from that of the early 20th century. It houses six bells, dedicated to St. Peter, St. Mary, St. Dominic, St. Anthony, and St. Louis, along with a smaller bell used to call to Mass.
During World War I, they were secured and were returned to their place in 1919. Traditionally, a specific sound of the bells signaled the population that it was time to add snow to the “giassara.”
