The new parish church was initially designed while Don Renzo Rizzato was the parish priest. The idea arose from the need to create a larger building for the Community, which grew numerically in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly as there was a greater need for aggregation and unity.
Initially, the new church was to be located in the area adjacent to the "Saugo" center, an idea later abandoned for various reasons. Subsequently, Don Francesco Calore managed to kick off the project, alongside those responsible for community activities and the many people who helped to realize the initiative, supported by the willingness of the engineer Thiella Gabriele, who executed the project free of charge.
The new parish church was blessed with a liturgical function on October 18, 1987, by parish priest Don Andrea Stevanin. On the occasion of Christmas 2003, the Church was enhanced with the construction of a portico at the entrance and the apse, which reorganized the altar area, finally placing it at the center of a wide space to be the core of the Eucharistic celebration. The overall result was more functional, enhancing visibility and listening during liturgical celebrations.
