It was established in 1948 on the wave of enthusiasm for the inauguration of the rebuilt Ponte degli Alpini and the first post-war National Assembly of Black Feathers (3 October 1948).
Over time it continued to grow and became rich in finds from the First and Second World War thanks to the passion and care of volunteers and donations from members and many citizens.
The first radical arrangement was in the mid-seventies. More recent is its expansion extended to all the suggestive floor below that has allowed the setting up of a realistic combat place, with howitzers already supplied to the mountain artillery department.
