In the distant 1808, the archpriest of Thiene, Casarotti, solemnly blessed the new Cemetery in the area called Fratta, where the dead were buried until 1834, the year the current Cemetery Ai Capuccini was built.
On the same site as the old cemetery, this Chapel was erected in neo-Gothic style, dedicated to the Risen Christ, after which the intersection was named "Il Cristo".
The chapel, already built in 1810, as shown in the map of the Napoleonic cadastre of the same year, preserves the bones of those buried there until 1834. With the donations collected by the members of the "Circolo San Gaetano Thiene," the current one was built on the same site as the original chapel in 1872.
All three frescoes visible are by the painter Giovanni Capovin. On the central wall, within the niche, the dead Christ is painted, taken down from the cross. Next to him, the Madonna and Saint John the Evangelist. To the right, at the top, an Angel from whom a beam of light reaches the Lord, while on the right wall, Saint Anthony of Padua is depicted in half-length holding a lily. On the left, also within a niche, Saint Gaetano of Thiene with the Baby Jesus in his arms. From above hangs a small lantern in wrought iron. Finally, at the top, above the gate, the inscription "Ossarium" is visible, and on the wall of the entrance to the chapel, among the bricks, a tablet with the inscription "Oil Donation" is inserted to the right, while to the left a tablet with the inscription "Cash Donation," both topped by a carved cross.
