The Church of San Francesco d'Assisi was built in 1676 by Don Francesco Collareda, whose body is buried in the center of the nave. This is confirmed by the fact that a document, dated November 17, 1676, is preserved at the Archive of the Diocesan Curia of Vicenza, which records the registration of the newly constructed building.
In 1985-86, there was the first conservation restoration, while in mid-September 1998, with the collaboration of Virgilio Lattenero, a "new" bell was placed in the bell tower of the small church, the bell from the church of S. Rocco in Valmercanti. Balanced and restored, the bell was supposed to travel to Colombia with Don Franco, but fortunately, the parishioners of Ponte dei Nori anticipated the gift, and thus the bell remained in Torrebelvicino. The bell returned to ring on Sunday, October 11, and since then it continues and will continue to spread its peals on the slopes of Mount Enna.
In 2002, there was the second restoration and the inauguration ceremony; finally, in 2003, during the Feast of the Holy Trinity, Father Emilio Lattenero celebrated the Holy Mass and donated one of his paintings to the small church. It is very interesting that the reliefs of the Stations of the Cross present inside the small church are the wooden molds used to create the final bronze sculptures of the Stations of the Cross that are located outdoors.
