The Stramaret Winery stands out among the producers of Valdobbiadene DOCG for its wine-making tradition, which began back in 1888 when Giovanni Stramare founded the namesake farming company in Funer di Valdobbiadene. In 2005, it took the name Stramaret.
The history of the Stramare family (Stramaret has been their nickname for generations) has seen a constant development of wine and livestock production, thanks to the work and passion of the founder's heirs: Angelo, Antonio, and Celestino. In 2005, the new owner Carlo decided, with the support of his father, to primarily invest in the production of Prosecco, which today carries the designation Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. as a guarantee of controlled origin and quality.
The 10 hectares of vineyards owned by the company, mostly cultivated with Glera grapes, give rise to FIVE different products:
• Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. extra dry sparkling wine;
• Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. brut sparkling wine;
• Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. extra brut sparkling wine “WITHOUT SULFITES”;
• sparkling wine;
• sparkling wine on the lees “WITHOUT SULFITES”;
These products best represent the unique characteristics of the Valdobbiadene vineyards, enhanced by the key ingredient that is always present in every bottle: the genuine and authentic passion for wine of the Stramare family.
