The residence was built in the second half of the 1500s by the Aquadevita family, the merchants from Verona. It was used as a summer countryside residence and the headquarters of business activities. It consists of a main building facing the road and directed, through the rear facade, towards the garden and the countryside. The central core of the main building is the oldest part, dating back to the 16th century. In the following century, extensions and additions were made, such as the arcade composed of six large arches facing south.
In 1687, the complex was sold to local families (first the Domaschio and then the Zangiacomi) due to the difficult economic situation of the Aquadevita family.
