Villa Dolfin Boldù

Via Giardini n. 4 , Rosà - 36027

It was built by the three Dolfin brothers, members of one of the oldest Venetian families, who moved from their residence on the Grand Canal to Bassano to undertake agricultural activity.

Probably the work of Antonio Gaidon (1738-1829), it is a complex of vast proportions centered around a closed court. The complex is of impressive size and consists of a main body placed in the center and not, as usual, at the left end, while the court is divided into two sectors by the barchessa. To the north of the villa there is a beautiful neoclassical park with pond, built by Bagnara to a design by Alberto Parolini.

The villa was the headquarters of the 9th Grappa Army during the First World War. On 24 August 1918 it hosted King Vittorio Emanuele III and the first performance of the Canzone del Grappa.
